New Signing Announcement
Boxing Connected is pleased to announce that Curtis Jay of Doncaster has turned professional and that his career will be guided by Joe Elfidh.
Curtis (25) boxed for Highfields ABC as an Amateur where he engaged in approximately 20 bouts and was immensely proud to represent his country prior to being forced to hang up the gloves due to a sciatic nerve issue which thankfully has now been fully resolved.
Tom Gilbert from TG Boxing Gym will be training Curtis at his facility in Skellow, Doncaster and has been overseeing Curtis in quality sparring sessions with Boxing Connected stablemates Cameron Kaihau, Josh Padley & Ryan Stevenson and subject to ratification by the British Boxing Board of Control he will make his debut at the North Notts Arena, Worksop on Saturday 4th April 2020.
Curtis believes that his all action style will prove popular with the fistic fight fraternity however he would welcome enquiries from local businesses who would be interested in sponsoring him as he embarks on his journey into the professional ranks. He would like to place on record his thanks to his partner Jayde Louisa Smith for all her support and which he describes as simply invaluable.
On signing Curtis it was stated by Joe Elfidh that further signings of currently unattached Doncaster based fighters are imminent and that the forthcoming show at the Holiday Inn, Doncaster on Friday 21st February 2020is simply the beginning of him bringing regular promotions to the town and that he is proud of his record of consistently featuring boxers in their hometowns.
